Carol Ann Frazier

Age 76 of Morris, Illinois, died Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at her home.

Born on December 25, 1946 in Jefferson City, Missouri, Carol was the only child of William and Peg (nee Morrison) Barker. She was raised in Decatur, Illinois, and graduated from Eisenhower High School with the Class of 1964. On December 14, 1968, Carol married the late Urban J. Frazier, Jr., and together they would make their home in Morris.

She worked her entire professional career for the phone company, starting at Illinois Bell as an operator. Carol would work her way up and held many titles there before retiring after over 50 years of service. She loved sewing and handcrafting and participated in the Sewing Club at Plattville Lutheran Church. Carol was an avid gardener who had a deep appreciation for all flowers, and was quite the eclectic collector who had a regular thrift shopping routine, always on the lookout for that next great find. Above all else, family came first in her life and she cherished time spent with her husband, her sons, and especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her two sons: Jeff (Lisa) Frazier of Naperville, Illinois and David (Cheryl) Frazier of Joliet, Illinois; six grandchildren: Evan, Ella, Katey, Tristan (fiancée Karley), Prestan, and Shawn; two brothers-in-law: Brett (Joanne) Frazier and Bart (Kathi) Frazier, both of Bourbonnais, Illinois; five nieces and nephews, and her feline companion, Sam the Cat.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, William and Peg, and her husband, Urban on April 23, 2023.

Per her wishes, cremation rites are being accorded and a private family service will be held.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Carol's memory to American Cancer Society.
