Bryan E. Brown
Age 46 of Morris and formerly Coal City, passed away Saturday afternoon July 14, 2012 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Born May 21, 1966 in Joliet, Bryan is the son of Mildred Ann Beasley-Brown of Morris and the late Henry C. Brown. He was raised and educated in Coal City, and graduated from Coal City High School with the class of 1984. Bryan worked as a line cook at various restaurants in the Joliet and Morris areas and played the drums and sang with his cousin Scott, and friends in local bands. He was an avid Chicago Bears and "Cubbies" fan and enjoyed playing in pool leagues. Bryan was an enthusiastic fisherman and will be remembered for his love of the ocean and his visits to Daytona Beach.
Survivors include his mother Mildred Brown and sister: Therese Brown, both of Morris; one aunt: Irene Pulliam of Missouri; one uncle David Muncey of Morris, and special cousins: Scott Ernst of Morris, Todd Minton of Minooka and Michael Minton of Missouri, as well as many other cousins and friends.
Bryan was preceded in death by his father.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington on Saturday July 21, 2012 at 11:00AM.
Mt. Olivet Cemetery is located in the 400 block of West Kahler Road in Wilmington. Those traveling to Mount Olivet Cemetery - once in Wilmington, take Illinois Route 102 (Water Street) South to Kahler Road. Turn West onto Kahler and the chapel is located three blocks down on the corner of Kahler Road and West Street.
In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Bryan's memory to the American Red Cross, 2200 W. Harrison Street, Chicago, IL 60612, Morris Hospital Foundation, 150 West High Street, Morris, IL 60450 or to OSF St. Francis Medical Center Children's Hospital of IL Foundation, 530 NE Glen Oak Avenue, Peoria, IL 61637. .
