Age 48 of Wilmington, passed away Thursday May 14, 2009 at his home.

Born May 3, 1961 in Joliet, Brian is a son of Alberta (nee Williams) and the late Harold Nowman, Sr. A 1979 Graduate of Wilmington High School, Brian was employed by the Painters Union Local #33. He was a member of the Wilmington Lions Club and the Wilmington Moose and greatly enjoyed fishing, hunting, baseball and bowling.

Survivors include his wife Christine (nee Russ), four children: Jarrod, Jason, Stefanie and Katrina; four grandchildren: Kiara, Quinton, Thomas and Hannah; his mother Alberta of Wilmington; four brothers: Harold, Jr. of Crystal Lake, Danny (Sherry) of Lockport, Bobby of Wilmington and Tim (Robin) of Coal City; two sisters: Kathy (Jeff) DeBoard and Sandy (Mike) DeBoard, both of Wilmington, and his dog Kobie; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Brian was preceded in death by his father Harold Nowman, Sr.

Visitation will be held on Monday May 18, 2009 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM and Tuesday May 19th from 9:00AM until time of funeral service 10:00AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Dr. Dan Eddington from Island City Baptist Church in Wilmington will officiate and burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Brian's memory to his family for distribution to charities of their choosing.
