Brenda L. Jarrell

Age 64 of Morris, and formerly Dwight passed away Tuesday March 1, 2011 at Morris Hospital surrounded by her family.

Born in Williamson West Virginia, On October 2, 1946, Brenda was one of three children born to Ethel "Mary Jane" Dawson and Clarence Jarrell. She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Elsie Jarrell Loudermilk, one brother, Robert "Bob" Jarrell, a brother in law, William Loudermilk, and a sister in law, Sandra Jarrell.

Surviving are two children: Leigh Ann Heenan (Ronald Stephens) of Saunemin, Illinois, and Chad (Sunny) Heenan of Avondale, Arizona. Also surviving are 4 grand children: Jacob & Josie Heenan of Avondale, Arizona and Sarah & Nicholas Stephens of Saunemin, Illinois. Brenda had 6 nieces and nephews, including, Ron (Julie) Loudermilk, Rhonda (Marsha Bennett) Voigts, Rhena Loudermilk, Robin Bryant-Davis, Robbie (Allison) Jarrell, and Stacy Jarrell. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews including Joshua Loudermilk who was like a son to her, Colin, Veronica, Clayton & Ian Loudermilk, David, Brandy, Amanda and Daniel Voigts, Alexandria Bryant, Micheala Davis, Jessica, Jordan & Justin Jarrell.

Brenda was employed at Morris Wal-Mart for the past 14 years as a cashier. She loved reading a good book, puzzles, and spending time with family and friends, including going to Thursday morning Breakfast at IHOP with her Wal-Mart family.

A special Thank-You goes out to Sally Barber, Lori Barber, Maria Gonzalez and Fran Smego for all of the care & friendship they have given to Brenda and her daughter Leigh Ann during this very difficult time. They are the true meaning of friendship and extended family. The Family would also like to extend its sincere thanks to the ICU Unit at Morris Hospital, Joan Sereno with Grundy County Volunteer Hospice for the use of supplies and support to her family and to her Wal-Mart family for their support as well. Extended Thanks to Dr. James Allen ("her Buddy") and the doctors staff Joliet Area Oncology and hematology.

The family will receive friends on Friday March 4, 2011 from 4:00PM until time of Memorial Service 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. Pastor Steve Larson from the First Baptist Church in Morris will officiate.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Brenda's memory to her family for their distribution.
