Brenda Haldorson-Miner

Brenda Jo (Haldorson) Miner died peacefully with her family at her side on June 5, 2013 at INOVA Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, Virginia. She was 55 years old. She fought a short battle with a very aggressive and rare form of cancer. Her life was her children, her grandchildren, and children in general. Her favorite jobs were as a teaching assistant for first graders at North School in Londonderry, New Hampshire and her recent babysitting position in Purcellville, Virginia. Brenda's favorite vacation spot was at Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire, where she could enjoy the outdoors with dear friends from Londonderry, New Hampshire. Her friends all say that Brenda lit up the room whenever she was present. Brenda was raised in Morris, Illinois and is a 1975 graduate of Morris Community High School. She will be missed and forever loved by family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Dan Miner of Purcellville, her son Ryan (Molly) Rozich of Austin, Texas, her son Logan Miner of Parkersburg, West Virginia, her daughter Natalie Miner who will be attending her first year at the University of Virginia Nursing School in 2013, and her granddaughter Sloane Rozich.

Brenda was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Robert Haldorson, her parents Robert and Genevieve Haldorson, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation for friends in Virginia will be on Tuesday, June 11 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm at Hall Funeral Home in Purcellville, Virginia. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 12 at 1:00 pm at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Purcellville.

Visitation for family and friends in Illinois will be held on Friday, June 14th from 5:00PM to 9:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris, and again on June 15th from 2:30PM until time of funeral service 4:00PM at the First Presbyterian Church, 805 Western Avenue in Joliet, Illinois.

For those preferring to offer a memorial in lieu of flowers, donations to either St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Purcellville or First Presbyterian Church of Joliet are appreciated.
