Bobby Gene Price

Age 83 of Braidwood, passed away Saturday morning September 17, 2011 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.

Born December 25, 1927 in West Frankfort, Illinois, Bobby was a son of the late John Ray and Effie Geer-Price. He was raised and educated in Logan, Illinois and was a Veteran of the United States Army Air Corp, having served during World War II. Bobby was a Stepan Chemical retiree, where he worked as a Chemical Operator.

Survivors include two children: Pamela (Daniel, Sr.) Gallagher of Braidwood and Randy (Paula) Price of Wilmington; three grandchildren: Daniel Gallagher, Jr., Scott Gallagher and Kristi Johnson and four great grandchildren: Alicia Gallagher, Ryan and Ashley Johnson and Timmothy Gallagher.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Beverly, son Mark; one brother Albert Price, one sister Mary Frances Clark and the mother of his children: Jean Price.

The family will receive friends on Monday September 19, 2011 from 10:00AM until time of funeral service 11:00AM at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Pastor Ron Taylor from Island City Baptist Church in Wilmington will officiate and burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin, Illinois. Pallbearers will be: Dan Gallagher, Jr., Scott Gallagher, Ryan Johnson, Tim Gallagher and Mike Sorenson.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Bobby's memory to Hospice of Kankakee Valley, 482 Man Street Northwest, Bourbonnais, Illinois 60414-2331.
