Billy Mitchell DeBoard

"Mitch"

Age 30 of Coal City and formerly Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday March 28, 2012.

Born June 5, 1981 in Kankakee, Mitch was a son of the late Billy M. and Nancy "Char" Brown-DeBoard. He was raised in Wilmington and was a 1999 graduate of Wilmington High School. Mitch had a love for fishing and karaoke and will be remembered for his enjoyment of playing the guitar.

Survivors include two children: Billy Mason DeBoard and Neveah Charlene DeBoard; brother Chad Taylor (Robert Maihofer) of Washington D.C.; sisters: Tamura Geiss (Mickey), Deanna McDowell (Shawn) and Donna Richmond, all of Wilmington; nieces and nephews: Travis Geiss, Dillon Geiss, Shane Geiss, Blake Geiss, Sarah McDowell, Taylor McDowell, Meghan McDowell, Rebecca Rathbun and Alexis Richmond; and aunts and uncles: Charles Andrew DeBoard, Alice Futch, Wayne (Cindy) DeBoard, Virginia (Stacy) Powers, Michael (Sandy) DeBoard, James (Delores) DeBoard, Jeff (Kathy) DeBoard, Marvin Brown, Colleen Brown, Wade Brown and Carol (Steve) Sarnowski, as well as numerous cousins.

Mitch was preceded in death by his parents: Nancy "Char" DeBoard on March 24, 2011 and Billy M. DeBoard on April 10, 2011; sister Shannon Fortune and aunts and uncles: Naydene Estelle, Etta Powers, Margaret DeBoard, Joseph DeBoard, Ronnie DeBoard and Mark Brown.

Visitation will be held on Friday March 30, 2012 from 4:00PM until time of funeral service 7:00PM at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Brother Don Carr, Sr. will officiate and a private family interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Wilmington.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Mitch's memory to his family for their distribution.
