Age 63 of Coal City, Illinois, died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Morris Hospital.
Born August 11, 1958 in Morris, Illinois, William Mark was a son of Richard Charles and Shirley Ann (Frey) Tarman. He was raised and educated in Wilmington and went to work for the Laborers Local #75, where he made his career working in the local nuclear plants and refinery’s until retiring in 2017. On August 27, 1977, Bill married Tina McQueary in Wilmington and together they made a home and raised their family in Coal City.
Bill was quite a collector of guns, coins and baseball cards. He worked hard his entire life, and most importantly will be remembered as a true family man. Bill never missed an opportunity to attend a family event, and nothing gave him greater joy than spending time with his grandkids.
Survivors include his children: Billy (Ashleigh) Tarman, Tara (John) Powell and Chris Tarman, all of Coal City; five grandchildren: Devun, Dylun, Arieana, Lyla and Axl; siblings: Larry (Susan) Tarman of Morris, Bob (the late Gail) Tarman and Laurie (Tony) Esparza, both of Coal City, and Linda (Mike) Bober of Reddick; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Randy McQueary and Vivian (Gary) Fannin both of Grove, Oklahoma, Carol (Jack) King of Eagle Rock, Missouri and David (the late Theresa) Sardeson of Springfield, Missouri, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, as well as his beloved dog, Nitro.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Tina on February 21, 2018; parents: Shirley Hack and Richard “Dick” (his widow, Lynne “DeeDee”) Tarman, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gene and Vera McQueary.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block north of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Funeral services will follow Thursday morning, June 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Deacon William Dunn presiding. Burial will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery, and pallbearers will be: Chris Tarman, Devun Tarman, Dylun Tarman, Luke Tarman, Bobby Tarman, and Tony Esparza.
Those wishing to participate in the services virtually are welcome to join the live-stream or watch on-demand after the conclusion of the services. A link for the event is available on Bill’s memorial page.
