Age 84 of Wilmington, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday morning, April 23, 2025.
Born on September 1, 1940, in Browning, Illinois, Beverly was a daughter of Herschel and Mildred (Rittenhouse) Bollinger. She was raised with strong values and a deep appreciation for family and community in the heart of Schuyler County.
On February 1, 1958, Beverly married Lawrence Joseph Treadman, at St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising their family with love and dedication in the town they would call home for decades.
Bev was a hardworking and determined woman who was dedicated to her family and the home. She spent part of her career working for UniRoyal at the Joliet Army Ammunition Plant and later joined Johnson & Johnson Personal Products in Wilmington. She was a member of St. Rose Church and enjoyed belonging to the Braidwood Recreation Club.
Outside of work, Beverly had many passions. She found joy in playing golf, crafting, and sharing sweet moments—quite literally—through her love of candy-making. She touched many lives with her warmth, creativity, and generosity.
More than anything, Beverly treasured her role as a grammy. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and poured her heart into every moment she spent with them. Her bond with each was special, and she held a deep and abiding love for them all, including Kaelen Kelly.
Beverly will be remembered for her enduring strength, her kind spirit, and the love she so freely gave to those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of grace, resilience, and heartfelt memories that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Survivors include her four children: Deborah Treadman of Kankakee, Karen (Jay) Friedenberg of Bolingbrook, and Susan (Mitchell) Lyday and Jeff (Carol) Treadman both of Wilmington; four grandchildren: Abigail Friedenberg, Max (Macy) Lyday, Allison (Josh) Strohm and Jeff C. Treadman; three great-grandchildren: Lexi, Natalie and Mason Strohm, and siblings: Wayne (the late Dee) Bollinger, Linda (Paul) Booth, Patsy (the late Jim) Self, Larry (the late Arletta) Bollinger, Sue (Dave) Dotzert, Paul (Sandy) Bollinger and Charles (LuAnn) Bollinger, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Bev was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Anthony; husband, Larry (2017); her grandson, Matthew Lyday (2021); two sisters, Juanita Bollinger in infancy and Marianne (Ken) Agans, and one brother, Leo (Donna) Bollinger.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service 11:00 a.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Deacon Milt Leppert will preside. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Wilmington, where she will be laid to rest with her late husband Larry and son, Anthony.
Pallbearers will be: Jeff D. Treadman, Mitchell Lyday, Jay Friedenberg, Jeff C. Treadman and Josh Strohm.
