Beverly Miriam Micono

Age 84 of Burlington, Wisconsin and formerly Coal City, passed away Friday evening January 24, 2014 at Pine Brook Pointe in Burlington.

Born January 4, 1930, Beverly was a daughter of the late Bernard and Beatrice Spellman-Ravnaas. She was raised and educated in Coal City and graduated from Coal City High School with the Class of 1948. On August 14, 1948, Beverly married Emil Micono in Assumption Catholic Church and together they lived their married life in Tempe, Arizona, Huntington Beach and San Diego, California, and Worthington, Ohio, prior to returning back home to Coal City in 2000. Emil preceded Bev in death, and it was soon thereafter that she relocated to Wisconsin to be near her family.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law: Shirley (Paul) Brown of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin; four grandchildren: Scott (Carolyn) Schmidt, Romeo Brown, Sebastian Brown and Abigail Brown, all of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin; two great grandchildren: Ryan Schmidt and Natalie Schmidt, and one brother Bernard Ravnaas of Sandwich, Illinois, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters-in-law: Laverne Campbell, Gloria Pierard, Betty Ravnaas and Shirley Ravnaas, and two brothers-in-law: Thomas Campbell and Louis Pierard.

Cremation rites have been accorded. The family will receive friends at the Coal City United Methodist Church, 6805 East McArdle Road in Coal City on Saturday February 1, 2014 from 10:00AM until time of memorial service 11:00AM. Reverend Dr. Thomas Logsdon will officiate.

A private family inurnment will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery, where Bev will be laid to rest with her late husband Emil.
