Age 74, of Gardner, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at OSF St. James – John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac, Illinois.

Born on September 12, 1949, in El Paso, Texas, Belinda was the beloved daughter of Hershel and Martha (Adams) Hampton. Raised and educated in Plainfield, Illinois, she graduated from Plainfield High School, where her warmth and kindness were already evident.

Belinda was known for her unwavering positivity and her profound impact on those around her. Her faith was her guiding light, and she embraced the belief that God’s hand was present in every aspect of life. This deep sense of faith fueled her passion for helping others, and she was a constant, reliable presence for family and friends in their times of need. Her legacy is one of compassion, selflessness, and unwavering support.

Family was always at the heart of Belinda’s world. She cherished every moment with her loved ones and made it a priority to stay connected with those near and far. Through social media, she bridged distances, ensuring her relationships remained strong despite physical separations.

Belinda’s life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of staying true to one’s values. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and a reminder of the profound impact one person can have on the lives of many.

Survivors include her two daughters, Deanna (Brian) Bedoya Triana of Odell, Illinois and Laura Pena (Anthony Koller) of Braidwood, Illinois, as well as her nieces Terra (Phillip) Chapman and Nicole (Pete) Proimos, who were like daughters; eight grandchildren: Joey, Thomas, Christian, Dante, Juliette, Mackenzie, Noah and Brody; one brother, Gary (Robin) Hampton of Minooka along with their family: Stephanie (Jeffrey) Wink and James (Jenny) Hampton; one sister, Aleshia (Isidro) Reyes of Godley and several great nieces and great nephews.

Belinda was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Diana Carreno.

Green flameless cremation rites have been accorded.
