Becky L. Peterson

Becky L. Peterson, 64, of Minooka, passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, January 1, 2023.
Born on July 24, 1958, in Joliet, Il to Donald and Joyce Boe.
On July 24, 1999, she married Gregory Peterson in Morris, Il and they built their home on the Peterson Family Farm in rural Minooka, Il where they lived the entirety of their married life creating cherished, loving memories with family.
Becky worked for over 30 years as a substance abuse/school counselor, using her gifts to make genuine connections with people. Her current role was serving as School Counselor at Premier Academy of Morris, Il.
She loved being outdoors, tending her flower gardens, kayaking, snowmobiling, biking, hiking, visiting beaches, and decorating her home. She was a talented crafter, and her greatest pleasure was spending time with her grandchildren.
Becky was a friend of Bill W for 35 years.
She is survived by her husband, Gregory Peterson; her children, Anthony Green, Austin Green, Eric (Sarah) Peterson, Jill (Jason) Petro, and Benjamin Green; her grandchildren, Kanin Hootman, Ethan Petro, Adelyn Petro and Claire Peterson; sisters, Lindsay Brown, Deborah Newman, Dana Boe and Kelly Janssen; nieces and nephews, Natalie, Jennifer, Donja, Maggie, and Steven.
Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald Boe and son, Aaron Hootman.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. Luanne Cantrell and Pastor Steve Larson officiating. Interment will follow in Plattville Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church.
