Beatrice I. Korelc

Age 84 of Coal City, passed away Friday evening at Morris Hospital.

Beatrice was born May 31, 1922 in Wilmington, where she was raised and educated. On August 23, 1941 she married Martin Korelc in Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City, and together they lived their entire married life in Coal City. In her free time Beatrice loved to make quilts and afghans, crochet and read.

Survivors include three daughters: Darlene (Roger) Monbrum of Coal City, Donna (Leroy "Butch") Grell of Wilmington and Lorrie (Mickey) Kaveney of Missouri. One son John (Charlene) Korelc of Braceville; (14) Grandchildren: Susan (Larry) Wells, Jean (Jerry) Salinas, Kathryn (Pat) Vint, Richard (Crystal) Monbrum, Ray (Cindy) Grell, Kelley (Chuck) Partak, Tracy (John) Shelden, Wendy (Jack) Oakley, Marcy (Michael) Gibson, Desteni Korelc, Alicia (Mike) Brassard, Jennifer Korelc, Paul (Jamie) Lockwood and Andy (Trisha) Lockwood. (26) Great Grandchildren and one sister Charlotte (Harold) Gonis of Braidwood, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, husband Martin in 1988, one daughter Sandra Lockwood, one grandson Rodney, Sr. (Lori nee Bertino) Monbrum, two brothers and two sisters.

Private family visitation and funeral service will be held at Reeves Funeral Home 75 North Broadway in Coal City.

Burial will follow in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery with acting pallbearers: Richard Monbrum, Rodney Monbrum, Paul Lockwood, Aaron Roberts, Ray Grell and Raymond Grell.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Beatrice's memory to the Coal City Fireman's Association, 35 South DeWitt Place, Coal City, Illinois 60416
