Barbara J. Thorson

Barbara J. Thorson, 83, of Yorkville, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital with family by her side.
Born October 11, 1939 in Sandwich, she was the daughter of Trumen and Thelma (Larson) Thorson.
She graduated in 1957 from Newark High School and went on to work for Goldsmith, Theiin, Dickson & Brown Law firm in Aurora for 49 years.
She was a lifelong member of Helmar Lutheran Church, Newark, Il.
Barbara is survived by her niece, Julie Kennard (Andrew) of Hobart, Indiana; two nephews, Kirk Thorson (Jennifer) of Sioux Falls, SD and Jon Thorson (Rachel) of Carol Stream, Il; her sister-in-law, Ann Thorson of Yorkville; six great nephews and nieces, William, Bryce, Leah, Cayden, Jude and Lydia.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her brother, Ronald in 2022.
She enjoyed taking trips with her friends, volunteering at church and spoiling her niece and nephews and their children and loved her dog “Ginger”.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
