Barbara M. Hartley

Barbara M. Hartley, 80, of Morris, Illinois, formerly of Erie, PA, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023 at the Morris Hospital.
Born June 26, 1942 in North Girard, PA, she was the daughter of Laurence and Mariold (Swanson) Gossman. She graduated from Rice Avenue Union High School in 1960. She married Murray C. Hartley on March 19, 1962. They lived their lives in Fredonia, New York and Boca Raton, Florida. Upon his death, she moved back to Erie, PA to be close to family and friends, where she worked at Pulokos Chocolates for 20 years.
She is survived by her children, Larry (Kara) Hartley of Morris, Illinois, Joseph Hartley and Mark Hartley both of LIghthouse Point, Florida.; three grandchildren, Tyler Hartley of Morris, Nic Hartley of Evergreen, CO and Zane Hartley of Ottawa, Illinois; two special nieces, Julie Herring of Lake city, PA and Geri-Lyn Hoffman of Erie, PA; along with numerous extended family members.
Preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Alice Fischer and Laura Lee Falletta.
She enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, doing crossword puzzles and rooting for her Detroit Tigers.
According to her wishes cremation rites were carried out, and no services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor’s choice.
