Age 84 of Coal City and formerly of Neosho, Missouri, passed away Monday evening July 10, 2017 at Park Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Morris.

Born August 9, 1932 in Neosho, Missouri, Barbara J. was a daughter of Emmet and Molly (nee Hemphill) Erwin. She was raised and educated in Neosho where she graduated from Neosho High School with the class of 1950. On December 24, 1952, Barbara married Fredrick C. Conway. Barbara and Fredrick relocated to Lockport , where they made their home for many years before moving to Wilmington. It was here that Barbara gained employment with Johnson & Johnson Personal Products, from where she later retired.  In Barbara's free time she enjoyed sewing and reading, but her favorite times were spent with family.

Survivors include her daughter: Vicky (Skyler) Vaughn of Coal City; granddaughter: Courtney (Eric) Ferrara of Goose Lake; great-granddaughter: Zoey Ferrara and brother: Larry E. Erwin of California.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband Fredrick on November 20, 2012; two brothers and one sister.

Per Barbara's wishes, green flameless cremation rites have been accorded.

A private family inurnment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, where Barbara will be laid to rest with her husband.
