"Bubba"

Age 62 of Wilmington, passed away peacefully Wednesday September 24, 2008 at her home.

Born August 24, 1946 in Joliet, Barbara was a daughter of the late Leroy and Dorothy Bolton-Schmitz. She was a graduate of Joliet Central High School and Joliet Junior College where she earned an Associates Degree and CNA. Bubba greatly loved the Chicago Cubs, fishing and her family and friends. She was also a well known bartender at RTM's Pub in Wilmington for many years.

Survivors include four children: Paul (Vickie) of Wisconsin, Robert (Laurie) of Braidwood, Tony Altiery and Kim (Randy) Brewington, both of Wilmington; two brothers: Chuck (Ann) and Richard (Sandy) Schmitz, both of Joliet; four grandchildren: Randall and Echo Brewington, Leonard Ayers Avsec and Robert Ayers, Jr.

Bubba was preceded in death by her parents, one son Wayne and one sister Caroline Schmitz.

The family will receive friends on Saturday October 04, 2008 from 1:00PM until time of memorial service 1:30PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Rev. Ron Taylor will officiate.
