Arthur J. Puch

Age 71 of Morris and formerly of Homer Glen, passed away Monday morning, October 5, 2015 at Morris Hospital.

Born July 28, 1944 in Chicago, Arthur James was a son of the late Stanley and Marie (Ragan) Puch, He was raised and educated in Chicago; graduated from Gage Park High School, and went on to attend William J. Bogan Junior College. Arthur honorably served in the U.S. Naval Air Forces, and on June 17, 1967, he married Anne Marie McKeigue in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Palos Hills. Arthur worked for International Harvester, prior to gaining employment with AT&T, from where he retired after 37 years of service. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris, the American Legion and the AT&T Pioneers. Arthur enjoyed baseball and football, and played on teams with AT&T. He also enjoyed fishing and watching professional baseball, hockey and football. Arthur was a fan of the Chicago Bears and was proud to be a season ticket holder. Many memories were made at his cabin in Winter, Wisconsin, and he will be most remembered for his love of time spent with his kids and grandkids.

Survivors include his wife Annie; three children: Arthur S. (Marie) Puch of Plainfield, Andrew L. (Kate) Puch of Elwood and Amy L. Puch of Minooka. Two grandsons: Anthony Michael and Andrew Martin Puch, whom fondly referred to him as “Papa”; three brothers-in-law: Greg (Bonnie) Spak of San Jose, California, John L. (the late Kathleen) McKeigue of Tinley Park and James McKeigue of Worth, and nieces and nephews: Matthew McKeigue, Martin McKeigue, Greg Spak, Jr., Gustave Millecker, Jr., Michelle Fine and Jenny Taylor.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents and one sister-in-law: Susanne (Richard) Taylor.

Visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 600 East Jackson Street in Morris on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral services 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Ed. Howe, CR officiating. Burial with full military honors provided by the Morris Color Guard will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Morris.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Arthur’s Memory to Immaculate Conception School, 505 E. North Street, Morris, Illinois 60450.
