Anthony Thomas Olivo
"Tony"
Age 63 of Hot Springs, Arkansas and formerly Coal City, passed away Saturday November 12, 2011.
Born September 18, 1948 in Joliet, Tony was a son of the late John A. and Caroline Ahrens-Olivo. He was raised and educated in Coal City and was employed by Amoco Chemical Company in Joliet for more than 31 years. After his retirement, Tony relocated to Arkansas where he lived in Beebe for three years, before moving to Hot Springs, where he settled and spent his final years. Tony was a member of Harrison Chapel Baptist Church in Beebe.
Survivors include his daughter Maria (Thomas) Jacobs; granddaughter Savannah Jo Jacobs and sister Rosemary McDaniels, all of Coal City; sister-in-law Faith Olivo of Beebe, Arkansas and brother-in-law Gary Larson of Phoenix, Arizona, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents; wife Gloria DeGrush-Olivo; sister Carol Larson and brother John "Jack" Olivo.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a Memorial Service is being planned in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
A family inurnment will be held at a later date in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery.
