Anthony R. Foth

Age 91 of Elwood, passed away Saturday evening, March 19, 2016 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.

Born December 24, 1924 in Joliet, Anthony was a son of the late Charles and Mary Schrenk-Foth. He was raised in Elwood and graduated from Joliet Township High School with the class of 1942. On February 5, 1955, Anthony married Dorothy Prouty at St. Joseph Church in Rockdale. He was a member of St. Rose Church in Wilmington, The Mobil Retirees Club, the Senior Services Center of Will County and the Will County Farm Bureau. Anthony worked in maintenance for Mobil Chemical, and retired after twenty-one years of service. In his spare time he loved to garden, go fishing and flying.

Survivors include his son: Anthony C. (Robin) Foth of Elwood and daughter: Cynthia A. (Robert) Vorachek of Palatine; five grandchildren: Anthony (Pricila), Naomi, and Justin Foth, and Tessa and Blaine Vorachek; five great grandchildren: Nathaniel, Hannah and Caleb Kirby, Levi Lasch and McKenzie Foth, and his special friend Elaine Williams of Texas.

Anthony was preceded in death by his parents; wife Dorothy in 1988; two daughters: Pauline and Patty; one brother Emery; two step-brothers: William and Frank; and one step-sister: Ethel Laczko

Visitation and video tribute will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2016 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Funeral services will follow Friday morning, March 25th at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Reverend Steve Bondi from St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington officiating. Cremation rites will follow the services and inurnment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington at a later date.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Anthony's memory to the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.
