Age 83 of Wilmington, passed away Friday, August 3, 2012 at home with her family by her side.

Born February 18, 1929 in Custer Park, Ann was a daughter of A the late James H. A and Elizabeth Howatt-Baker, Sr. A She graduated from Peotone High School with the class of 1947 and attended the School of Banking at Southern Illinois University. A On March 4, 1951, Ann married Basil E. Crutchfield in the First Presbyterian Church in Wilmington. Ann began her employment with Commonwealth Edison and later worked for the First National Bank of Wilmington, from where she retired after 27 years. Ann was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wilmington and was also involved with various bank organizations. In her free time she enjoyed bowling, antique exploring, church, ceramics and sewing. She will also be remembered for her love of time spent with her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband: Basil; three children: Thomas (Christine) Crutchfield of Wilmington, Sue (Greg) Kohl of Solon, Iowa, and Gary (Christal) Crutchfield of Wilmington; grandchildren: Adam (Ines) McCanna of Oregon City, Oregon, Abbey (Chris) Crutchfield of Lockport, Aaron Crutchfield, Amber Crutchfield, Eric Crutchfield A and Andy Crutchfield, all of Wilmington, Matthew (Kate) Crutchfield of Joliet and Josh Crutchfield of Bloomington; great-grandchildren: Lucas, Logan and Grant McCanna, and two brothers: James (Norma) Baker of Manhattan and Joseph Baker of Peotone

Visitation will be held on Monday August 6, 2012 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. (815/476-2181). A Funeral services will follow on Tuesday August 7th at 10:00AM in The First Presbyterian Church, located at the corner of VanBuren and Kankakee Streets in Wilmington. Pastor Mark Moon will officiate and burial will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.

Preferred memorial may be made as gifts in Ann's memory to: The First Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or American Lung Association.
