Age 76 of Wilmington, passed away Friday evening August 9, 2013 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.

Born June 12, 1937 in Danville, Illinois, Carolyn Ann Hanna was a daughter of the late Harold Homer and Sarah Ellen Cromwell-Young. She was raised in the Georgetown, Illinois area, where she attended the country schools and graduated from Georgetown High School. On October 5, 1957, Ann married Kimsey Ronald Hanna in Georgetown and he survives. She was a member of the Braidwood Recreation Club and involved with TOPS. Ann worked as a seamstress for many years in the Wilmington area. She greatly enjoyed golf, and when her children were younger, remained active in all of her children's activities. Ann was a former member of the Little League Auxiliary, involved with Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and coached girls softball.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years Ron; four children: Michael Wayne Hanna of Wilmington, Thomas Arthur (Andrea) Hanna of Braidwood, Peggy Elaine (Becky Eartly) Hanna of Godley and Linda Sue (Ronald) Pohar of Ottawa; four grandchildren: Jeremy Lee (Tricia) Hanna of Diamond, Jacob William Hanna of Braidwood and Hanna Nicole Pohar and Matthew Tilson Pohar, both of Ottawa; two great-grandchildren: Natalie Kira Hanna and Brent Thomas Patrick Hanna; one brother James Richard (Marcella) Young of Cayuga, Indiana; one brother-in-law Claude Burton Hanna of Diamond Springs, California and six nieces and nephews: Jim Young, Pam Elliott, Debbie Young, Cheryl Morgan, Susan Womack and John Young.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation and video tribute will be held on Thursday August 15, 2013 between the hours of 5:00PM and 8:00PM at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. (815/476-2181)
