Age 32 of Morris, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday February 12, 2025 in Bergland, Michigan after a brief illness.
Born September 22, 1992 in Morris, Andrew is the son of Roger and Pam (Nelson) Goodman. He was raised and educated in Morris and graduated from Morris Community High School with the Class of 2011. Andrew furthered his education at Joliet Junior College and was employed as senior control room operator at Aux Sable in Morris, where he had been employed for the last ten years. He held memberships with the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 300 in Joliet as well as the Morris Country Club and Nettle Creek Golf Course in Morris. Golfing was one of Andrew’s favorite past times and he was often found out on the course with his friends. He enjoyed many other outdoor activities such as fishing, bicycle riding, and target shooting.
Andrew’s favorite place in the world was Michigan, taking great pleasure in family trips to Lake Michigan, snowmobiling in the U.P. and going to University of Michigan football games in Ann Arbor with his dad. He also enjoyed perfecting his culinary talents, whether it was grilling out, cooking in the kitchen or baking his signature key lime pie. Andrew loved all animals great and small, always looking for ways he could help any stray animal in need. He was a bright and humble young man whose unique sense of humor resonated with family and so many friends, and no one could forget that beautiful smile.
Survivors include his parents, Roger and Pam Goodman of Morris and his sister Kelcie Goodman Franks (Carl) of Oswego, IL; his paternal grandmother Patsy Goodman of Morris, as well as several aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, and countless dear friends.
