Alyssa Nicole Swyndro
Age 16 of Coal City, passed away Friday February 1, 2013, as result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Born April 1, 1996 in Joliet, Alyssa was a daughter of the late Aimee' Swyndro and Corey Wilson. She was a Junior at Coal City High School and currently held employment with Subway in Morris.
Survivors include her maternal grandmother Karen Swyndro of Coal City; paternal grandparents: Sue Wolff and Floyd Wilson, both of Joliet; maternal great-grandmother Marcella Maly of Kansas; paternal great-grandmother MaryAnn D'Amico of Joliet; two sisters: Alexis Wampler and Brianna Stapleton; aunt Heidi Boyd of Coal City and numerous great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends.
Alyssa was preceded in death by her parents: Aimee' Swyndro on August 22, 2007 and Corey Wilson on January 26, 2008; maternal grandfather Daniel Swyndro and her great grandfathers.
Visitation will be held at the Coal City United Methodist Church, 6805 East McArdle Road in Coal City on Tuesday February 5, 2013 from 3:00PM until time of funeral service 7:30PM. Reverend Dr. Thomas Logsdon will officiate. A private family burial will follow Wednesday in Oakwood Cemetery, Braidwood, where Alyssa will be laid to rest with her mother.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Alyssa's memory to her family for their distribution.
