Alice M. Dinger
Age 94 of Coal City, passed away December 25, 2018 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.
Born May 22, 1924 in Felix Township, Grundy County, Alice was a daughter of John Fred and Alice (Williamson) Brunner. She attended Short Grade School and graduated from Coal City High School with the Class of 1941. Alice was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church in Coal City and belonged to the local genealogy society.
Alice worked for various clothing factories in the area; was employed for many years by Raymond Lyons Draperies, and went on to work for Designers Studios in Joliet until her retirement. Following her retirement, Alice continued to provide alteration services locally.
Survivors include her twin sister, Amy M. (Richard) Farcus of Coal City; daughter Faye Butz of Morris; grandchildren: Kaye Butz of Racine, WI and Eric (April) Butz of Carterville, IL; great grandchildren: J.D. Guebert, Ashley Gail Butz and Sami Rae Butz, and one great-great grandson, David Allan Flemming.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: John F. (Eleanor) Brunner and Ray W. Brunner.
Visitation will be at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 80 N. Garfield St. in Coal City on Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service 10:30 a.m. Reverend Mark Hughey will officiate, and burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Alice’s memory to Joliet Area Community Hospice.
