Alan Thomas Lange
Age 58 of Coal City and formerly Joliet, passed away Tuesday October 18, 2011 at Morris Hospital.
Born May 1, 1953 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Al is a son of Wayne Lange of Wisconsin and the late Caroline nee Olsen. He was raised in Wisconsin prior to moving to Glendale Heights with his family in 1967. Al was a graduate of Lockport West High School with the Class of 1971 and went onto serve his Country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked as a local truck driver and on February 22, 1992, Al married Karen (nee Greathouse) in Lockport. He was a Jehovah Witness and attended the Wilmington Kingdom Hall Congregation. Al had a passion for trucks and music, as well as enjoyed fishing. He will also be remembered for always being very sociable.
Survivors include his wife Karen; father Wayne; two daughters: Tracy Peter of Wilmington and Denise (John) Lestina of Darien; three grandchildren: Kyle Peter, Heaven Lestina and Cheyenne Lestina; two brothers: Michael (Tomoko) Lange of Palatine and Patrick (Dianne) Lange of Gardner; five sisters: Vickie (Dick) Soave of Florida, Cheryl (Tom) Schwabb of LaSalle-Peru and Cathy Rufledt, Rose (Dennis) Ludwigson and Vickie (Jim) Score, all of Wisconsin; one sister-in-law Connie Small and one brother-in-law James Greathouse, both of Dwight, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Al was preceded in death by his mother Caroline Lange and one grandson Michael.
A memorial service will be held on Monday October 24, 2011 from 6:00PM - 7:30PM at the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witnesses, 15827 South Frederick Avenue in Plainfield.
A private family interment will be held in Wisconsin.
