A. Robert Krull
"Bob"
Age 67 of Maine Township, Grundy County, passed away Tuesday August 3, 2010 at Morris Hospital.
Born April 27, 1943 in Morris, Robert was a son of the late Andrew and Anna Trusa-Krull. He was a graduate of Coal City High School with the class of 1961, attended Joliet Junior College and graduated from University of Illinois, where he earned a Bachelors in Animal Science. On April 8, 1967, Robert married June Sproull in Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City, and together they have resided in Maine Township their entire married life. Robert, aside from farming, worked at the Joliet Arsenal, was employed by Stockdale, formerly managed Sunbury Nevada Grain, and was currently managing Union Hill Grain. He was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Coal City, and currently was serving as Maine Township Clerk. Robert can be remembered for his love of farming, hunting with his boys and fishing. He was also known for his cooking. Robert cherished the time spent with friends and family and truly enjoyed being with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years: June; four children: Matt (Caley) Krull and Andrew (Kelly) Krull, both of Mazon, Jacob Krull of Wilmington and James (Megan) Krull of Gardner; six grandchildren with another on the way: Alaina and Grace Reid, Annebelle and Tessa Krull, Hannah Krull and Kyler Krull; one sister Irene (Bob) Allen of Joliet; his mother-in-law Maxine Sproull of Verona and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Mary Ann Newcomb and his father-in-law William Sproull.
Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Friday August 6, 2010 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Funeral services will follow Saturday August 7th at 10:00AM in Assumption Catholic Church, 245 South Kankakee Street in Coal City, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Robert Noesen officiating.
Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery in rural Mazon. Pallbearers will be: David Allen, Bob Allen, George Reader, Craig Muzzarelli, Chad Planeta and Ken Piehl. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Bill Gill, Arden Wills, John Yanites and Paul Wills.
