Lillian F. Baber

Age 94 of Wilmington, passed away Friday, February 5, 2016 at the home of her daughter in Tucson, Arizona.

Born August 11, 1921 in Symerton, Lillian Frances was a daughter of the late Richard and Martha (Jackson) Hanney. She retired as the cafeteria manager at Wilmington High School after more than 32 years. Lillian was a dedicated and devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in Wilmington.

Survivors include three daughters: Judith (Ralph) Jackson of Lafayette, Indiana, Linda Kaye (the late Barry) Ascher of Tucson, Arizona and Jill Frances (Tom) Sheehan of Sarasota, Florida; grandchildren: Todd (Lois) Jackson, Kim (Chris) Greenwell, Aaron Ascher, Alicia (Michael) Ochs and Adam (Shauna) Heatherwick, and great grandchildren: Ellen, Sam, Asa, Seth, Brendan, Kylie, Logan, Braelyn, Gracie, Reese and Randy.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert W. Baber (2005); three brothers: Richard, Laverne and Harry Hanney and one sister Betty J. Clark.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church, 401 East Kahler Road in Wilmington, from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service 10:00 a.m. Reverend Tom Kingery will officiate.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington, where Lillian will be laid to rest with her late husband Robert.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Lillians memory to the First United Methodist Church, 401 East Kahler Road, Wilmington, IL 60481.
