Kenneth Andrew Schultz
Age 60 of Wilmington and formerly Shorewood, passed away Thursday evening, June 23, 2016 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
Born August 25, 1955 in Hazel Crest, Illinois, Kenneth was a son of the late Kenneth and Muriel (McDonald) Schultz. He was raised and educated in Tinley Park and went on to honorably serve in the United States Navy. Kenneth held employment as a foreman in the roofing industry, and most recently worked part time as a bus driver for Illinois Central School Bus Company in Wilmington. He will be remembered for his love of fishing and playing the guitar.
Survivors include his children: Kenneth (Becky) Schultz of Oak Forest and Jodi Schultz (Jason Vizza) of Wilmington; two grandchildren: Dylan and Daphanie; two brothers: Keith Schultz and Kurt (Joyce) Schultz, and his dear friends who were like family: Ron and Posie Siebrandt of Tinley Park and his best friend of 50 years Dave Schaefer "Verrit" of Elwood.
Cremation rites are being accorded.
The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation on Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until time of memorial service 4:00 p.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Reverend Luanne K. Bettisch from Peace Lutheran Church will officiate.
Inurnment with full military honors will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood at a later date.
