Eloise M. Jones

Age 97 of Wilmington passed away Friday May 27, 2016 at Regency Care of Morris.

Born November 1, 1918 in Lockport, Eloise Mae was a daughter of Charles W. and Ellen Elizabeth Trainer-Clark. She was raised and educated in Custer Park, Wilmington and Braidwood, and graduated from Braidwood High School.  On November 19, 1938, Eloise married Walter P. Jones in Wilmington. She was an active member of Ritchie Methodist Church and Tops program.  Eloise enjoyed sewing in her free time, and spending time with her children and grandchildren, who were truly precious to her.

Survivors include her two children: Vance (Judi) Jones of Morris and Sharon (Larry) Knop of Verona; seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren with another on the way, and three great-great grandchildren, with another on the way; one sister: Alice Smith of Kankakee, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eloise was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter in infancy; one sister: Mildred Duensing; one brother: Everett Clark; and one great grandchild and two great-great grandchildren, all in infancy.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and visitation and video tribute will be Saturday June 4, 2016 between the hours of 4:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block east of IL Route 47), in Morris. A graveside service will be Tuesday June 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Wesley Cemetery, Wilmington.
