Age 72 of Goreville, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at his home.

Born on August 17, 1946 in Chicago to Edward and Margaret (Bross) Shue, Edward served in the National Guard. He was a retired pipefitter for local 597. Edward enjoyed locksmithing and loved playing pool.

Survivors include three children: Brian Shue, Tricia (Rick) Montgomery, and  Steven (Heather) Shue; eleven grandchildren: Stephanie Shue, Samantha Montgomery, Aaron Montgomery, Brian Shue, Autumn Shue, Ryann Shue, Briana Shue, Kailey Edwards, Jordyn Edwards, Alyssa Edwards, and Alyssa Pursell; one brother: John (Carol) Shue; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister: Maggie Shue.

Per Edward's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

A memorial visitation was held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Blue Funeral Home, 812 South Broadway, in Goreville, Illinois. Visitation will again be held on Saturday August 3, 2019 at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block east of IL Route 47), in Morris from 2:00 p.m. until time of memorial service, 4:00 p.m., with Pastor Kevin Yandell from New Community Christian Church officiating.
