David L. Krahl
“Kruzer”
Age 77 of Coal City, formerly Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away Friday September 9, 2016 at Morris Hospital.
Born July 23, 1939 in Joliet, David was raised and educated in Joliet, and graduated from Joliet Township High School. He served in the United States Air Force, and worked for Caterpillar in Joliet for 43 years until he retired. Kruzer enjoyed golfing and bowling, playing cards, and solving crossword and jigsaw puzzles. He was passionate about traveling to see the world and loved going on cruises.
Survivors include his three children: Kristopher (Carla) Krahl of Williamsville, New York, Erica (Eddie Leasure) Krahl of Coal City, and Kelly Krahl of Braceville; five grandchildren: Keegan and Cameron Thacher of Coal City, Ambiance Krahl of Braceville, and Dennis and Robert Krahl of Williamsville, New York; two brothers: Harry (Donna) Holm, Jr. of Plainfield and Joseph Holm of DeKalb; brother-in-law: Al Cap of Bloomington, and numerous nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his mother: Clara Merlo, and his sister: Linda Cap.
Visitation will be Friday September 16, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service, 1:00 p.m., at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway, in Coal City. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
